The challenge
A steep, wooded lot and strict local wetlands setbacks left a narrow building envelope. The clients wanted a modern home that sat lightly on the land.
What we delivered
We engineered a stepped foundation and a comprehensive drainage and retaining system to open up the buildable area. Radiant floors and a ground-source heat pump carry the heating and cooling, while native planting and dry-stacked stone paths tie the house to the surrounding landscape.
